Germaine?s Country Kitchen, located at 14901 Ambaum Blvd. SW, was broken into sometime Tuesday night/Wednesday morning, with the front door window broken and cash register stolen.
According to Owner Jacki Cote, ?only a few dollars in change? were left in the cash register.
No word yet on how much it?ll cost to fix the door or replace the register.
Here?s a pic of the crime scene courtesy Jacki:
?This crime sounds vaguely familiar to something that was going on last year,? said Ed Dacy, who first tipped us to the news. Dacy is referring to Stephen H. Kirk, the prolific burglar responsible for several ?smash-and-grab? style robberies targeting businesses last year in Burien and West Seattle, who was sentenced to 68 months in prison in May (read that story here).
As we try to do with every business-related crime story, we encourage our Readers to drop in to Germaine?s, buy some breakfast or coffee, and wish them well (perhaps even offer to help?). To learn more, read this review BTB Reader Suzanne Greive did about this business.
