So,?WHO is investing in Real Estate.? The #1 love of the average and not-so average Aussie is property.? A recent report tells all:
- Majority of property investors are married professionals
- Majority of property investors have on average 2 properties
- The average age is between 25 to 44 years
- One in five investors plan to buy another property over next 12 months or so
- The older Aussies 55+ are dragging the chain ? as only 21% of people over 55 own an investment property.? Even with the the increase of SMSF this number is staggeringly low
So, my take on this is simple.? You are never too old or too young to start on your investing journey into the property market.? The GenY?s should start embarking on that journey now ? and need encouragement. Not every property needs to be negatively geared, which is the biggest fear of the early?investors.? The GenY?s don?t want to give up living a social life and enjoying travel and friends.? With a positively geared property they can have both an investment strategy AND a life
Older Aussies can also jump onto the investment property journey.? They have held off in order to pay off their own home, gets kids into uni, free themselves of debt.? With SMSFs owning an investment property couldn?t be easier.? Again, a positively geared property can take away the fear of struggling to manage cash flow.
With interest rates low, and rents high ? there has never been a better time to embark on a solid investment journey into Australia Property.
