Spider-Man vs. Batman: Who Would Win In A Fight?

By Khalil Beckwith

Spidey?s senses are tingling. Batman is on the prowl in Gotham City. If the two superheroes were to ever run into each other and face off, who would win?

Let?s look at how this fight would go down.

Gadgets
Spidey doesn?t sport anything but spider-tracers and web-shooters. Batman has batarangs, gas bombs and explosives.

Winner: Batman?s gadgets let him fight villains that Spidey would have to dispatch with his fists.

Fighting style
The combination of Spider-Man?s super-agility, strength and reflexes give him a unique fighting style that few other superheroes can imitate.

Winner: Spider-Man would easily defeat Batman in a test of strength and fighting prowess.

Sidekick
Batman has Robin. Spider-Man has, um, well, no one. Robin?s often a slightly less formidable version of Batman and almost every Robin is groomed to be the next Batman. Spider-Man doesn?t have a sidekick and has never wanted one.

Winner: Batman. It?s better to have someone watching your back at all times!

Intelligence
Batman is considered a great mind because of his resourcefulness, but that?s about it. In terms of book knowledge, Peter Parker has got Bruce Wayne beat.

Winner: Spider-Man?s a physicist, an engineer and even a chemist. He?s definitely a genius.

Rogue?s gallery
Batman has enemies such as Ra?s al Ghul and Red Hood, who seek to test him morally and psychologically. Spider-Man?s enemies are brutes who only want to hurt him physically.

Winner: Batman. Batman would easily dispatch Spidey?s enemies with his mind.

Faceoff winner: Batman

Batman wouldn?t fight Spider-Man directly. He would find the quickest and most efficient way to defeat Spider-Man. Everyone knows the best way to do that is to defeat Peter Parker. Batman would track Spider-Man down, find Peter Parker?s apartment and discover his Spidey costume and gear. Then, he?d blackmail Peter Parker into submission instead of fighting him. And thus, Batman is the victor.
