Not even Brad Pitt could triumph over a few friendly dolphins at the box office this weekend.
The Warner Bros. live action kiddie flick Dolphin Tale kept Pitt's Moneyball from reaching first place status, having raked in an estimated $14.2 million in receipts, according to early Sunday estimates.

Pitt's baseball flick -- costarring Jonah Hill -- earned a respectable $12.5 million in its second week out the gate. Dolphin Tale also ended Lion King 3D's reign as box office champ, as the re-release of the Disney animated classic snagged a $11.1 million take for a third-place ranking.

Rounding out the top five flicks this weekend were the Joseph Gordon-Levitt/Seth Rogen comedy 50/50 -- which made its box office debut with $8.85 million in receipts, and TriStar's faith-based flick Courageous, which fared better than expected with $8.8 million.
