Jewish Hospital Cardiologist named Governor of American College of Cardiology

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Jesse Adams, III, M.D. of Jewish Medical Center Cardiologists, Jewish Physician Group, in Louisville, Kentucky has been elected by the American College of Cardiology as their Governor of Kentucky.

Dr. Adams? is board-certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners, the American Board of Internal Medicine, and the American Board of Internal Medicine Division of Cardiology. His three-year term as Governor will begin in March of 2013.

He is involved in many organizations and societies, some of which include the American Heart Association, the American Society of Echocardiography, the Greater Louisville Medical Society and the Kentucky Medical Association.? Dr. Adams also serves on the Jewish Hospital Heart and Lung Institute Advisory Board. He has been a member of the Jewish Hospital medical staff since 1995.

The mission of the American College of Cardiology is to advocate for quality cardiovascular care?through education, research promotion, development and application of standards and guidelines?and to influence health care policy.
